Who we are
From My Womb is run by Helix Imagen LLC in Austin, Texas ("we", "us"). This policy covers frommywomb.com and the letters we send.
What we collect
- From the grown-ups who sign up: your names, emails, what baby calls you, where you're from, your due date, baby's name or nickname and sex if you share it, portrait choices (style, skin tone and hair color) and any notes you add.
- About the people you invite: their names, emails, what baby calls them, their relationship, where they live, an age group, and any notes or little ways they can help that you choose to add.
- Replies and messages: anything people send back to a letter and anything you send our support team.
- Payment: Stripe handles your card. We see the amount, the date and the email used, never your full card number.
- Email activity: basic delivery information, like whether a letter was delivered or bounced.
- Website: our site host may record standard technical information like your browser and pages visited. We use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to understand visits and measure our ads (see Cookies and analytics below).
How we use it
To write and send your letters, answer replies, provide support, process payments and refunds, keep the service secure, and follow the law. We use your email to send letters and messages about your order. We don't send marketing emails without your permission.
AI and our service providers
We use a few trusted companies to run From My Womb. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Anthropic (AI that helps write letters and support replies)
- Supabase (our secure database)
- Postmark (sends and receives email)
- Stripe (payments)
- Wix (hosts our website)
- Google (Google Analytics, to understand site visits)
- Meta (the Meta pixel, to measure our ads)
We don't sell or rent your information. Your letters, replies and family details are never shared with advertisers.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, which set cookies in your browser. They see which pages you visit and the amount of a purchase. They never see your family details, names, emails or letters. You can block them with your browser settings or an ad blocker, and the site still works.
Children
From My Womb is for adults. Parents and guardians may add a child as a letter recipient, and we use a child's email and details only to send them letters their grown-ups set up. If you think we have a child's information without a parent's permission, tell us and we'll delete it.
Health information
A due date and baby details are sensitive. We use them only to write your letters. If a reply mentions something sensitive, we're alerted and a real person follows up.
How long we keep it
We keep your letters, portraits and replies while your letters are running so they're ready for your keepsake book. Then we delete everything automatically: two years after your due date, or 30 days after you tell us you don't want the book. You can ask us to delete everything sooner at any time. If your book is being printed, we wait until it ships. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your details from your manage link, and anyone can stop their own letters at any time. To get a copy of your information or have it deleted, use our help page or email us. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have extra rights to know, correct or delete your information. We honor those requests for everyone, and we won't treat you differently for using them.
Security
Your information is stored with encryption in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfect, so if something ever goes wrong we'll tell you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and we'll email current customers about big changes.
