1. What we do
From My Womb sends personal emails written in the voice of your unborn baby to you and the people you invite, with a portrait of your baby in the style you choose. Letters follow the schedule of the plan you buy and stop after your due date (through week 42 of pregnancy).
Letters are written with the help of artificial intelligence using general, typical fetal development information and the details you give us. Letters are written and sent automatically, with safety checks along the way. Portraits are illustrations, not pictures of your actual baby.
2. Not medical advice
Letters are for fun and connection. Development facts are general averages and every pregnancy is different. Nothing we send is medical advice, a diagnosis or a substitute for care from your doctor, midwife or other provider. Never ignore or delay medical advice because of something in a letter.
3. You and the people you add
You must be at least 18 to buy From My Womb. You agree that the information you give us is accurate and that it's yours to share.
When you add someone, you confirm that they'd be happy to get letters, that you have their permission to share their email and the details you enter, and, if they are a child, that you are their parent or guardian or have their parent's or guardian's permission. Anyone can stop their own letters at any time.
You're responsible for keeping your private manage link private. Anyone who has it can change your letters.
4. Payment
Prices are shown before you pay and are one-time charges in US dollars. There is no subscription and nothing renews. A keepsake book pre-order is charged when you order it, and shipping is charged when the book ships. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are covered by our refund policy: a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
5. Pausing, stopping and ending
You can pause or stop letters at any time from your manage link. We may suspend or end service to anyone who misuses it, for example by adding people without permission, abusing our team or trying to break the service. If we end your service without cause, we'll refund the unused part of what you paid.
6. Your content
Replies and details you send us stay yours. You give us permission to use them only to write, send and keep your letters (and, if you order it in the future, your keepsake book). We don't use your letters, replies or portraits for marketing without asking you first.
Your letters and portraits are yours to keep, print and share for personal, non-commercial use. The From My Womb name, site, design and software belong to us.
7. Acceptable use
Please don't use From My Womb to send letters to anyone who doesn't want them, to harass anyone, to send anything illegal or hateful, or to try to access other families' information or our systems.
8. Availability
We work hard to send every letter on time, but email isn't perfect. Letters can be delayed, filtered as spam or occasionally missed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. If a letter goes missing, tell us and we'll help.
9. Disclaimers
From My Womb is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that letters will be error free or that any portrait will look like your baby.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for emotional distress, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to From My Womb is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please contact us so we can try to fix it together.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a big change, we'll update the date at the top and let current customers know by email. Using From My Womb after a change means you accept the new terms.
